Vaccon’s VDF 500 Variable Vacuum / Flow Pump simulates a pick and place application for a compressed fiber board manufacturer. The customer sought a solution to automate picking up 4 foot by 10 foot sized pieces of this product with vacuum. In addition, the material has a rough surface which presents an additional challenge to picking it up securely.

The VDF Variable Vacuum / Flow Pump provides high vacuum flow and high vacuum level in one pump. The high vacuum flow of the VDF pump overcome the leaks inherent with picking up items with rough and uneven surfaces. Its straight through design is ideal for extremely dirty and dusty environments such as fiber board manufacturing. Dust and dirt pass directly through the pump - VDF pumps don’t clog, lose suction or require a vacuum filter. The VDF pump is field adjustable allowing the user to fine-tune the pump to the exact amount of vacuum or flow required for their application.
