Chicagoland Railfanning In November 2016

Over the weekend prior to Thanksgiving, I went out to the Chicago area to catch trains in and around eastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana, amassing over an hour of footage that, while shot in less than ideal conditions, still is unique and a favorite of mine in terms of trains seen! Canadian National trains are featured heavily in this video as they make their way in and around the Chicago Area on the Chicago, Edelson, Matteson, and Freeport Subdivisions, featuring older SD75M's, SD40-3's, SD40-2W's, ex Santa Fe C40-8W's, and ex Oakway Leasing SD60's, as well as action on the Metra electric district through South Chicago with their sets of new EMU's. Also featured are CSX and IHB trains in and around Riverdale Illinois, the NS Chicago Line and steel plant switchers in and around CP502, CSX trains on the Barr subdivision, and CSS&SB traffic straddling the state line in Hammond!
