My family and I have always dreamed of going to Africa. After my graduation, this became a reality. The decision to go to Namibia was easily made considering the variety of untouched landscapes and beautiful fauna and flora. With hindsight, it completely exceeded all our expectations. However, what surprised us most about this trip were the people. I have never visited a country where people are so proud of their country. This was reflected in their presence, conduct and habits. They were incredibly friendly, inviting and caring. Moreover, there was almost no rubbish anywhere because both rich and poor attach great importance to a clean environment.

Departing from the capital, the 15-day road trip led us south to the Kalahari Desert. We then headed for the coast for some refreshment, here we visited Kolmanskop and Luderitz. Going back north we passed the beautiful dunes in Sossusvlei. Then we headed back inland, on our way to Etosha National Park. On the way, we stopped at the beautiful Grootberg lodge. Etosha is known for its beautiful wildlife, however, in March it is a bit more difficult to spot animals because of the rain season. On the contrary, everything was nice and green in the park. Going back south to end up in Windhoek, we passed the Erindi Private Game Reserve which completed our game drive experience together with Etosha.

Namibia is highly recommended for all ages, the country is safe and offers sun, sea, landscapes and animals.
