Yangtze River Cruise of The Three Gorges, Lesser Three Gorges & Mini Gorges

Our journey began with a breathtaking cruise through the awe-inspiring Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge, two of the renowned Three Gorges on the Yangtze River. As we sailed through these majestic landscapes, the towering cliffs and verdant peaks painted a vivid picture of nature’s grandeur. The sheer scale of the gorges, with their steep walls and winding paths, left us in awe of the natural forces that shaped this remarkable region.

We switched to a smaller ferry to explore the Lesser Three Gorges, getting up close with the spectacular scenery. This part of the journey gave us a close-up view of the iconic Longmen Bridges, which cross the Longmen Gorge and offer stunning views of the surrounding area. Navigating the narrower waterways, we were surrounded by lush vegetation and dramatic rock formations, which created a serene and captivating atmosphere. The ancient hanging coffin clings to the cliff remains a mysterious and haunting sight. The ancient plank walkway's remnants mark the end of our Lesser Three Gorges tour, a glimpse into history.

Next, we boarded a wooden boat, which took us through the enchanting Mini Three Gorges. This segment of the tour allowed us to immerse ourselves in the tranquil waters and intricate, less-travelled gorges. It provided a closer connection to the landscape, enhancing the sense of exploration and discovery as we glided through these picturesque and often less-frequented passages.

We returned to our cruise ship and sailed through the final stretch of our journey, passing the renowned Qutang Gorge, a perfect finale to our enchanting Three Gorges odyssey.
