Описание к видео ORICO 10 Port USB 3.0 Hub Unboxing, Overview, Teardown, Test (VL812 Chipset)

In today's installment we will be taking a look at the "ORICO SuperSpeed USB3.0 10 Port Hub with 36W(12V/3A) Power Adapter and VL812 Chipset" which can be bought off amazon for $35. In the video I will unbox the hub, tell you my impressions, tear it down to look at the internal construction, and run some benchmarks.

Overall I thought this was a pretty good little USB 3.0 hub. Internal and external build quality were good, it was automatically detected by both Windows and Linux, there were no discrepancies between the speed of my devices through the hub vs speeds while directly hooked up to my laptops USB 3.0 ports. Thanks to three on board VL812 controllers 10 devices can be connected and detected simultaneously by the hub.

This hub does come with one major flaw though...... the power button. After 15 mins of testing the button became very flaky, becoming stuck frequently. By the end of the review it was barely functional and I would not dare to try and turn it on and off again as I fear it may become permanently jammed. Though, honestly I was only using the power button for the overviews sake, even if it was functional I would probably never use it. This is something that I would just leave on for its entire lifetime, I think the product would be a lot better if they just removed the button all together.
