Also included is Apedale Heritage Centre with it's mining museum and underground coal mine tours, and also Apedale Valley Light Railway - both adjacent to each other and in The Country Park.
Finally, a video of the funeral in 2017 of a truly remarkable women, Brenda Proctor, who founded the North Staffs "Women Against Pit Closures" group, with a very touching and moving Eulogy by Arthur Scargill & a radio interview with BBC Radio Stoke (please turn the volume up to hear Mr. Scargill clearly)
