After a few days in Salzburg, we finally took the time to visit the city.
Salzburg, also known as the "City of Mozart," yeah it’s Beethoven playing in the background, is a charming destination framed by the Austrian Alps.
Its Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features well-preserved Baroque architecture and the iconic Hohensalzburg Fortress.

The city, celebrates its musical heritage with attractions like Mozart's birthplace and the annual Salzburg Festival.

Today we will be visiting the main crag in Salzburg called Gaisberg.
Only a 20 minute drive from the city, and a rather nice place!

It’s a 30 minute walk from the carpark, but it’s a beautiful walk, and (not so) steep.

A quick stop by the lookout, and keep going.

When you get to this point (47.802601,13.104900), take a small track that leads to the walls.

it offers some hard climbing along the main wall, but you can also find some good easy ones on the right side.

We started with a couple of easier climbs to warm the fingers up, but it was such a hot day that we needed to find shade.

So we jumped on this 7a+ called hand shake.
It has a hard boulder at the start, but the rest of the climb is pretty good.

After the climb, we took the car and visited the summit of Gaisberg for a beer and some great views!
