“Cé a chuirfidh tú liom” is a traditional Irish song, originally sung by young girls knitting or spinning together. Each girl would sing a verse, asking a question, and the respondent would reply with the name of a favourite boy, and so on.
In fact a child (or a group of children) would often impersonate the questioner and a young girl the respondent.
