Preparing a Bamboo backing - Pt. 1 RF/DF build along

Описание к видео Preparing a Bamboo backing - Pt. 1 RF/DF build along

The success of your bamboo-backed bow begins with properly preparing the backing. This installment was produced to help demystify the dynamics of a Bamboo backing - done right, and you’re flinging darts in a flat, long-distance trajectory on target. Done wrong, and you’re justifying the wonky tiller of another failed bow that shivers in the hand, and bounces arrows off of their intended target. Yes, you can stumble onto success, but this video breaks down all of the elements that throw the likelihood of success into your corner, and sets the stage for a first-rate shooter. I use both a band saw and a 4” X 36” belt sander in this video, but the band saw is completely optional. The reduction done with the saw can be done with any hand tools that you feel comfortable with. As for the belt sander - they are cheap enough and essential enough, that you would do well to add one to your bow-building tool kit.
