Translucent Nanoemulsion Produced with an Industrial-Scale Ultrasonic Processor, ISP-3000

Описание к видео Translucent Nanoemulsion Produced with an Industrial-Scale Ultrasonic Processor, ISP-3000

The video illustrates the production of a translucent soybean oil-in-water nanoemulsion, carried out with an industrial-scale ultrasonic processor, ISP-3000, manufactured by Industrial Sonomechanics (ISM).
Oil-in-water nanoemulsions are widely used in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, beverage, agricultural and other industries as delivery systems for active lipophilic compounds, such as drugs, nutraceuticals, flavors, etc. Translucent nanoemulsions are especially attractive because their extremely small droplet sizes (under 100 nm) lead to long-term stability, improve absorption and enable the delivery of exceptionally high concentrations of active substances.
ISM's Barbell Horn Ultrasonic Technology (BHUT) was employed to scale this process up from a pilot study. High ultrasonic amplitude (100 microns) was maintained throughout the process, resulting in a superior-quality product.
