Card Explained:
Bulkward - 20 dmg / 80 shield. Reflect 40% melee dmg received.
Scaly Spoon - 80 dmg / 40 shield. Reflect 50% range dmg received.

For example axie-A reptile play 1 bulkwark and attack by a beast with 2 ronin and 2 imp. Each ronin deal 194 dmg to reptile and imp deal 92 dmg each. With 40% dmg reflect, the beast will receive 77 reflect dmg from each ronin played and 36 reflect dmg from each imp play. Total 226 reflect dmg deal to the beast.

With 1 energy, can deal 226 dmg and provide 80 shield + 20 dmg is insane value. And the reflect dmg % can stack, which mean play 2 bulkwark will have 80% melee dmg reflect. The same logic goes to scaly spoon.

Card Usage:

Personal opinion, having bulkwark and scaly spoon at backline seems much more suitable as higher chance to draw the card, and easier to get attacked. You can also consider to have bulkwark only at your backline or tank, as there is more melee card compare to range, unless you facing bird(most of bird card are range).

Tank having bulkwark is pretty good for me compare pumpkin, why ? it can deal quite a lot of reflect dmg when facing high beast bug dmg build, as a lot of high dmg beast bug card are melee such as cute bunny, ronin, dual blade, nut cracker(mouth) & etc. Can bring some value to counter cute bunny as we get fear, reflect dmg can help us deal some dmg to the attacker =)

Some Combo Idea:
You can combo with mouth heal card like zigzag, catfish mosquito to make your reptile survive longer, or having some dmg card with better shield like chomp, tiny tino, hotbutt. In case opponent pass, you still able to deal some dmg to them.

Counter:

1. Skip turn, don't attack them means no dmg to reflect, always take note the card played on the axie, if attack when 2 bulkwark/scaly played will be very painful.

2. Parasite and pincer, discard a an annoying card where it discard the card. Reduce the card he can play or play 2 bulkwarl/scaly.

**Some correction here, axie kill by reflect dmg will go into last stand.
