I started this ride standing on the farthest point west in Virginia — where Kentucky and Tennessee meet — and pointed my electric motorcycle toward the Atlantic Ocean.

Over four days and 813 miles, I crossed mountains, farmland, thunderstorms, and endless winding roads. I flew my drone into a mountain, ran my battery to 0% more than once, charged at a gas station and in a swamp full of mosquitoes, and met people I’ll never forget — including a woman living on a boat with her cat.

But this trip wasn’t about how fast I could get there. It was about solving problems along the way, slowing down enough to actually soak in where I was, and earning every mile toward the ocean.

Because it’s never the destination that matters, but the journey you took — and the effort it takes to get to where you want to go.
