DIY Reptile Enclosure: How to Build a Safe and Stylish Home for Your Bearded Dragon

Our enclosure design features high-quality materials such as birch plywood and cheap pine, making it affordable and accessible for everyone. The steel mesh center ensures proper ventilation, promoting a comfortable environment for your bearded dragon. We prioritize safety by protecting the interior with shellac and allowing it to de-gas completely before introducing your pet.

To add a touch of style, we stained the exterior of the enclosure to match your house furniture. Additionally, we applied a wipe-on poly for light protection, keeping the enclosure in top condition. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned DIY enthusiast, our step-by-step instructions will guide you through the entire process.

Special note: Using sand with a Bearded dragon, could be a bad thing with some bearded dragons. Bearded dragons are known for eating the sand spite it being part of their native environment. Sand eating can cause impaction. And should not be used in a cage with a young bearded dragon, or one that is having other issues such as lack of proper calcium, etc. So please use caution when doing this and talk to a professional if you are concerned about this possible issue.
Our bearded dragon has been living in the sand for a few years without any issues. That being said, that does not mean yours will do the same.
