Porsche Monterey, The Dealership I work at every year has the first event to kick off Monterey Car Week. This years event, Monday, August 12, 2024. Porsche Legend Martin Steger loaned the Dealership a 1969 Porsche 917. Martin told me this Porsche 917 Race Car is one of six used in the 1971 movie "Le Mans" Starring Steve McQueen. Martin built the engine in this car. The engine is a Flat 12 Cylinder with about 750 Horse Power. I didn't ask him for Torque Specs. I did ask him about the car weight. He said it's around 1,800 lbs. ( without driver )
