Demon’s Souls is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. The game is set in the dark, medieval fantasy world of Boletaria, a kingdom consumed by a dark being known as the Old One. Players take on the role of an adventurer tasked with defeating the fallen king Allant and pacifying the Old One.

The gameplay involves navigating through five distinct worlds from a central hub called the Nexus. Players face challenging combat, with a heavy emphasis on mechanics surrounding player death and respawning. The game also features online multiplayer, allowing for both cooperative play and player-versus-player combat.

A remake of Demon’s Souls was released for the PlayStation 5 in 2020, featuring updated graphics, improved performance, and new gameplay enhancements.
