Native Landscapes in the Hill Country

Kelly Tarla has been a Burnet County Texas A&M Agri-Life Extension Agent since 2015. Her responsibilities include educating the public on horticulture, livestock and forage production, wildlife, range management and supporting an active 4-H Program.

Kelly earned her Bachelor’s in Agriculture Services and her Master’s in Agriculture Education from Tarleton State University. She began teaching agriculture in 2003 before becoming a Bastrop County Extension Agent. After serving Bastrop County for three years she taught agriculture at Academy High school until becoming a Burnet County Agent, her current position. Kelly is passionate about providing horticulture and agriculture related education and support to the citizens of Burnet County.
