Weather Perfect For Ducks Llangollen Railway 15/06/2024

Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways

In this video we make our 2nd visit of the year to our friends at The Llangollen Railway during their normal B timetable operations with 1 steam loco running alongside a diesel multiple unit.

The steam loco running on the day of our visit was The Llangollen Railway Trust's GWR pannier tank 7754 restored in plain British Railways Green livery with British Railways lettering on the tanks.

Mostly it was a ride out day to get our 1st solo bash behind her since her return to steam last season during 2023 & the weather was on & off during the day which the weather made it ideal for Ducks.

The 1st run while the camcorders were turned off 7754 did develop an issue as her water injectors were playing up & the threat upon coming back at Llangollen as 1 of the resident diesel locos was standing by in case 7754 was declared failed.

However thanks to her crew the injector issue was cleared & her 2nd run of the day to Corwen which we filmed this run was at her more usual pace.

We end this video as we begun at Llangollen as we see her nicely in the sun as she took on water prior to returning to the sheds for the night.
