Because while the loudest voices are investigated overnight, the Auditor-General shows a different reality: KSh 304.4 billion in development funds left idle, KSh 6.6 billion lost to penalties on undrawn foreign loans, and KSh 9.6 billion in questionable eCitizen transactions, including KSh 7.05 billion stuck in limbo and KSh 2.57 billion with no trace at all. Counties are flagged for KSh 21.37 billion in irregular legal fees, and state corporations are sitting on KSh 153 billion in risky, poorly-managed loans that almost no one is repaying.
