Yay, new vocal range video! It feels like I'm on a mission to vocal range videos for my favorite artists or something. Perhaps. And this time I have miss Corinne Bailey Rae around.

Actually I just discovered her in the beginning of 2021, so pretty late to the party. But being a listener of genres like R&B, neo-soul and a fan of Lianne La Havas, H.E.R. and the like, I think I came to her pretty naturally and her music quickly grew on me. So here we are with a vocal range video for Corinne.

She's definitely not a vocal powerhouse whatsoever. But I do enjoy her voice a lot. Especially with her lower register. She has quite extensive usage in this range, more than I would expect from a light voice like hers. Her mid-belt is also quite pleasant, as she's able to hold some nice notes. However, as I was researching for her vocal, I find there's an issue of inconsistency with being tensed in her mixed range, so it's something she can definitely work on.
