Let’s make an adorable bunny door hanger for spring and Easter! In this video, I walk you through a soothing, beginner-friendly craft that’s perfect for a little “craft therapy.” We’re painting two bunny sizes (one great for a door, one perfect for a wreath), layering soft stripes with a reusable Chalk Couture transfer, lightly distressing for that farmhouse touch, and finishing with Walmart florals, greenery, and a sweet raffia bow. Think subtle sage and creamy vanilla, pretty blooms, and an easy twine hanger—fresh, simple, and so cute.

What you’ll learn:
How to paint a smooth base with a dauber using sage and vanilla tones
Quick-drying tips with a quiet craft dryer (not a heat gun) for easy live crafting
Using a reusable Chalk Couture background transfer to add soft, subtle stripes
Light distressing with a sanding block for a farmhouse finish
Attaching florals/greenery with hot glue and “quick and thick” adhesive for more working time
Simple options for bow placement (ear, head, or bow tie) and how to hang with twine
Ideas to customize: switch the background to mini buffalo plaid, try pastel blues or pinks, or keep it clean and un-sanded for a crisp look

Supplies I used (or similar):
Bunny door hanger blanks (two sizes)
Chalk-style paints or paste: Sage (green) and Vanilla (creamy white)
Reusable background transfer (stripes; mini buffalo plaid also works great)
Paint dauber or sponge
Craft dryer/quiet embossing-style tool (not a traditional heat gun)
Sanding block (Dollar Tree/Walmart)
Hot glue gun + glue sticks
“Quick & Thick” style adhesive
Faux florals and greenery (Walmart)
Raffia + jute/twine for hanging
Distilled water spray bottle (to keep paste/paint at the right consistency)
Optional: wax/sealer if the piece will be outdoors or handled often

Helpful tips and FAQs:
Craft dryer vs. heat gun: I use a quiet craft dryer because it won’t blow paste around and you can hear me talk. It’s perfect for quick drying between layers.
Do I need to wax? If your surface is smooth and you’ve “seasoned” your transfer with several uses, waxing isn’t always necessary. Wax if your surface is raw/rough or you want extra insurance.
Paste/paint care: Spritz with distilled water and stir before use. Keep lids closed when not in use to prevent drying out.
Distressing: Lightly sand after paint is fully dry for a subtle, worn look. Wipe dust away before adding transfers.
Outdoor use: Seal with a clear spray sealer if your door is exposed to the elements.
Bow placement: Ear, head, or bow tie—pick your favorite. You can also skip ribbon and let the florals shine.

If you love quick-and-pretty seasonal DIYs, this project is a must-try. It’s easy to personalize, budget-friendly, and perfect to sell at markets, gift to friends, or hang on your own front door.
