US President Donald Trump signed an executive order in the Oval Office that will directly expedite the process of reclassifying marijuana. Currently, marijuana is classified as a Schedule I drug in the United States – meaning it's in the same category as heroin and LSD, considered among the most dangerous substances. This means the federal government considers it to have "no accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse." However, Trump acknowledged that millions of Americans find relief from chronic pain, cancer side effects, glaucoma, and other ailments through marijuana. Therefore, he issued a strong order to Attorney General Pam Bondi – to move it to Schedule III as quickly as possible!
