Why, Springfield why

Most recently purchased Prodigy starts failing to go into battery. This is the third range trip, and each time, it gets worse and worse. Tuesday, I took it to my gunsmith to work on it. By working on it, I mean grind down/polish the disconnector, grind down the edge of where the breach face and stripping block come together, tune the extractor, and work the trigger. Why Springfield? Why? Four different Prodigys and only one worked right out the box, and it was a 5 inch. every 4.25-inch model has been shit. I've tried one 2011 cheaper than the Prodigy. The EAA Girsan Witness 2011 and it felt extremely cheap.
