Magpie drinks; bossy Blue-faces bathe; Little and Noisy friarbirds wait their turn; Australian birds

Female Magpie drinking after I change the battery in the camera; a juvenile Blue-faced honeyeater (green face) turns up and once Eva leaves it has a long bath; it chases away some Little friarbirds and an adult Blue-face chases away a Noisy friarbird before having a dip itself – chasing more friabirds away later. Afterwards the friarbirds all come for a drink.

I had to change the camera battery – I don't know what startled her but she knew I was there and I don't think it was me... Oh – the Little friarbird with yellow under its beak and neck – that is a juvenile. Adults don't have the yellow.

I think the Noisy is my lonely Noisy – without him having a dip I can't tell but it's been hanging out with Little friarbirds on and off for the past year – as this one is doing – and there was only one of them. I suspect it's Lonely. You know, I'm switching that to Solo. Solo sounds much better. It has Star Wars vibes. Han shot first!
