Jeffrey Berger shares his brief journey following the specific carbohydrate with Crohn's and Colitis and what led him to be the founder of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association.

Jeffrey Berger is the founder and executive director of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association. Jeffrey was very fortunate to learn from Elaine Gottschall through many phone calls and faxes in the late 90's. It was and continues to be a challenge to be 100% SCD compliant to gain the best results! Jeffrey has been asymptomatic and/or clinical remission for 20 out of the last 25 years.

Jeffrey created over 64 SCD Facebook Communities with the main community, "Breaking the Vicious Cycle-SCD Community" to learn from each other and more importantly, to let everyone across the globe know, You Are Not Alone. The Communities inspired him to create the Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association to pay it forward by carrying on the legacy of Elaine Gottschall’s work on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet by bringing awareness of the healing, unifying the Community and promoting future research.

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet Association (SCDA) was created in 2018 to raise awareness of the benefits of the Specific Carbohydrate Diet™ (SCD™) while unifying the Community including followers, parents, caregivers, doctors, clinicians, companies and others around the world. We provide resources, support, guidance and inspiration via social media platforms and conferences for the public and community to learn, network and support each other.
