PEAK DISTRICT wild camping overlooking LADY BOWER

Below Derwent Edge are the ruins of Bamford House, a beautiful spot with views over Derwent Reservoir and Lady Bower Reservoir.

The walk is quite a long one so check how long you need using something like OS Maps or Viewranger if you're following this route. Wayne Outdoors goes from Fair Holmes car park which is short but steep.

History:
A ruined upland farmhouse, with outbuildings and adjacent field walls, dating to at least 1767, when it is shown on a map. At a height of 345m it sits on a steep hillside with commanding views over the valley below.
