This Grand Seiko GMT SBGN007 features the first ever Grand Seiko caliber 9F quartz GMT movement. The caliber has been equipped with a special grade of hand-selected quartz crystal that improves the usually unerring caliber 9F quartz (+/- 10 seconds per year) to downright uncanny at a guaranteed accuracy of +/- 5 seconds per year.

Additional premium features of the 9F anniversary caliber 9F86 quartz GMT movement include thermocompensation and a manual trimmer feature; both are true horological refinements generally reserved for the finest of quartz chronometers like the Rolex caliber 5035 and 5055 Qysterquartz; these features are Grand Seiko's commitment to delivering a flawless watch designed for a lifetime of performance.

The GMT watch capability allows this Grand Seiko GMT 9F anniversary to keep track of two independent time zones: one in 24 hour format and a second in 12 hour format.
