I. Preparation of raw materials

II. Drying treatment

V. Cooling and taking out

1. Natural cooling (for earthen kiln) :
After the carbonization is completed, stop heating and let the charcoal in the kiln cool naturally. This process may take a long time, such as one day or even several days. After the temperature in the kiln drops and it is ensured to be safe, open the opening of the kiln and take out the charcoal !

2. Cooling according to the program (for carbonization furnace) :
After the carbonization is completed, the carbonization furnace will cool down according to the set cooling program. After the temperature drops to the appropriate range, open the furnace door and take out the made charcoal !

VI. Subsequent treatment

Screen the taken-out charcoal to remove some impurities and broken pieces that have not been completely carbonized. Then it can be packaged and stored in a dry and ventilated place to avoid the charcoal from being affected by moisture and losing its quality !

It should be noted that in many regions, privately felling apple trees for making charcoal may violate relevant forestry regulations.
