Coaster Con 46 (Day 6) at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (6/21/2024)

Here is the last day of Coaster Con 46 which was held one more day at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA. The day began with morning ERT on the 1924 built Giant Dipper and the Sea Serpent. We got to record footage from within the Giant Dipper's structure which is closed off to the public. Following ERT we take a behind-the-scenes tour of the park including Under the Boardwalk (literally). Then we attend the Beach Party at the Aloha Terrace and a surf band was on hand to entertain the attendees. Following lunch, we'll see more footage of the Giant Dipper incusing from the Santa Cruz Wharf and the Sky Glider. While filming the coaster, I also met the founder of D. H. Morgan Manufacturing, Dana Morgan (That wasn't in the script)! Finally at the end of the day, we attend the ACE Annual Banquet at the Boardwalk's Cocoanut Grove with guest speakers including Tom Rebbie, president of Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC) and coaster designer and Co-Founder of Great Coasters International (GCI) Michael Boodley. Then enjoy a slideshow of photographs we took during Coaster Con 46.
