The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were serenaded by Shakin' Stevens on Sunday night as they boarded the Royal Train for a UK tour with the most festive of send-offs.

The royal couple were delighted when the singer agreed to perform his classic hit "Merry Christmas Everyone" on the platform at Euston station in London.

The Cambridges set off on a three-day journey to pay tribute to those who have gone "above and beyond" this year, kicking off with a special tribute to the transport workers who have kept the country moving during the Covid pandemic.
