Vickers Machine Gun Demonstration Shoot

Описание к видео Vickers Machine Gun Demonstration Shoot

I recently attended a demonstration shoot conducted by the Vickers MG Collection & Research Association. The day was to highlight the history, capability, and methods used, of the Mk.1 Vickers Machine Gun. This film serves as a short montage of the demonstration.

This water-cooled, .303 calibre, machine gun first began service as the ‘Mk. I’ from the 26th November 1912. This was the service pattern gun that remained largely unchanged for its entire service life. It was, by far, the largest Mark produced and the majority of parts in other Marks came from it. Use extensively by British and Commonwealth Army's throughout both World Wars and beyond, not leaving active service till 1968.
