BYU Professor- Politics at BYU, Political Philosophy, and Revelation & Reason

Описание к видео BYU Professor- Politics at BYU, Political Philosophy, and Revelation & Reason

"Ralph Hancock, BYU Political Philosophy Professor"
Ralph Hancock and Greg discuss the current political environment at BYU and the changes he's seen over the last 34 years. We also discuss hiring practices, BYU's future direction, and the role of the Proclamation on the Family.

Professor Hancock guides us through the philosophies that bring us to our current left and right politics today.

Invoking Thomas Aquinas, Ralph discusses the roles of revelation and reason and the necessity of both. We end with a short discussion on where the Restored Church fits with Protestantism and Catholicism arguing that we are closer to Catholic, Thomistic roots than to doctrines of Protestantism.
