Mom and Son Accused of Beating Grandma Mouth Off to Police

A mother and son were arrested after a welfare check on a resident in Albuquerque, New Mexico didn’t exactly go smoothly. Deputies arrived to investigate possible elder abuse when they cleared the residents from the home to await a search warrant, according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. One suspect identified as Jonathon Madrid, 27, can be seen on bodycam berating officers nearly the entire time before things escalated causing deputies to struggle with the suspect. Next, Jonathon’s mom, Laura Martinez, 55, allegedly jumped on deputies and inserted herself into the struggle.
