Be careful though, as running out of rings means you lose a life. Getting hurt also comes with a penalty of a 20-ring loss, or half your rings when you're carrying less than 30 of them, but on the bright side, collecting Chaos Emeralds from Special Stages will slow down his ring drain!

Grab all 7 Super Emeralds and 100 rings to be able to turn Hyper, who's invincible at the cost of the form draining 2 of your rings per second.
