I've review 37th Godzilla film in franchise, 30th Toho's Live Action Godzilla film, 33rd Toho's Godzilla film and it was my favorite film of all time and I see the movie about 2 times in row and it was my 3rd Toho's Godzilla film in theater and my 6th Godzilla film in theater.

Before it was Godzilla Minus One there was supposed to make a sequel to Shin Godzilla but never happen to focus to make another standalone Godzilla film for new idea and had Toho took a break from Live action Godzilla film to make Anime Godzilla Trilogy until 7 years later in 2023 Toho's Live Action Godzilla film had returned.

Origin of Godzilla Minus One (2023) for where it begin: After finishing his film The Great War of Archimedes (2019), Yamazaki was appointed to make a Godzilla film. He spent three years writing the script, taking influence from Godzilla (1954), Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001), Shin Godzilla (2016), and the films of Steven Spielberg and Hayao Miyazaki. Yamazaki previously depicted Godzilla in Always: Sunset on Third Street 2 (2007) and a 2021 amusement park ride at Seibu-en. In February 2022, Robot publicized that Yamazaki would soon begin directing a kaiju film.

A regraded black-and-white version of the film, Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color (ゴジラ-1.0マイナスワン／Cマイナスカラー Gojira Mainasu Wan/Mainasu Karā, lit. "Godzilla-1.0/C"), premiered in Japanese theaters on January 12, 2024, and opened in North America on January 26.

This is the first Godzilla movie to be primarily set before 1954. It is not the first time that an earlier setting has ever been depicted, however, as Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah involves characters time traveling to 1944.

Similar to Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah (1991), Godzilla Minus One first shows Godzilla as a dinosaur-like creature on a remote Pacific island in World War II, although he battles Japanese repairmen instead of American soldiers. He is also confirmed to have been mutated by American nuclear testing in the Pacific, but this time in 1946, not in 1954.

Godzilla's dinosaur-like creature design was based off cancel American Godzilla 1983 design for based off T-Rex.
