Hey there, we’re Sam and Amy! about 6 months ago, we decided to sell everything to buy a caravan hit the road and caravan across Australia full-time. Fast forward to now we have made our dream a reality

But oh boy, was it a rollercoaster! We had to sell everything we’d hoarded in our four-bedroom palace and squeeze it all into a tiny caravan.

We dove into a five-month renovation frenzy to make it home sweet home. Chaos reigned as we juggled work, family, selling all our possessions. A leaky mess turned into a full-blown renovation marathon because, well, we’re a bit picky about our digs.

Just five days before launch, our car threw a tantrum and conked out on the Logan Motorway. Cue three more weeks of waiting for repairs. Then, my dad needed me at the hospital. After sorting his meds, we were ready to roll again. But, the universe had a laugh when Sam, after one too many tequila shots, took a tumble out of the caravan and popped his knee. Seriously, universe?

We ditched the schedule and embraced YOLO. With the final package in hand, we hit the road for Roma, dropping off Sam's dad’s car—thanks for the wheels, Dad! Our first stop was Chinchilla’s free camp, where we soaked in the beauty of Chinchilla Weir. Our first night in our cozy new nest was pure magic!

Next, off to Roma to flaunt our caravan to Sam’s dad and the kiddos, sharing hugs before rolling to Dirranbandi for a roadside snooze. Bright and early, we zoomed to Lightning Ridge, our official first stop. After four years of dreaming, we were finally living it. All the sweat and tears led to this moment, and it was finally happening!
