Yemen’s Minister of Information, Moammar Eryani, has publicly accused the Houthi rebel militia of manufacturing chemical weapons with support from Iranian experts, citing intelligence sources and intercepted smuggled shipments. According to Eryani, the Houthis have already begun preparing these deadly materials for use on ballistic missiles and drones, marking the first direct accusation of this kind by a Yemeni government official. He warns that the deployment of such internationally banned weapons represents an extreme escalation, endangering regional and global security and constituting a grave violation of international law and the Chemical Weapons Convention, as reported by The National.
