Описание к видео Humanism, Civility and Common sense

Humanism, Civility and Common sense

The decaying of humanism, lack of civility, and losing the ability to use common sense are indeed serious threats to our future.

Humanism is the belief in the inherent value and dignity of human beings, which includes respecting and caring for others.

Civility involves treating others with courtesy and respect, even in the midst of disagreements or conflicts.

Common sense refers to the practical wisdom that helps us navigate everyday life.

When we lose these values and abilities, we become more selfish, rude, and impulsive. We may prioritize our own needs and desires over those of others, leading to conflicts and tension in our relationships and society.

We may also make poor decisions and take unnecessary risks, leading to negative consequences for ourselves and others.

Despite our amazing achievements in science and technology, these advancements alone cannot provide us with lasting happiness and fulfillment.

In fact, they may contribute to our stress and anxiety as we try to keep up with the latest gadgets and advancements. Inner peace and contentment come from within, and involve cultivating positive qualities such as gratitude, compassion, caring and mindfulness.

By prioritizing humanism, civility, and common sense, we can create a more harmonious and fulfilling society. We can learn to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time with loved ones and enjoying nature.

We can also cultivate a sense of purpose and meaning by contributing to our communities and making a positive impact in the world. Ultimately, this is what brings us true happiness and fulfillment.

We should learn to serve our fellow men and women, not our ambitions.

The constant stream of new technologies and knowledge should not obscure or contaminate the basics of humanism- mutual respect and caring.

If people won’t realize that they owe something back to the society, they are sadly mistaken.

What will be the future of the world if we fail in our responsibilities as a human being irrespective of who we are? I dare not predict that!
