BenQ MH741 DLP Video Projector Dim Image Diagnosis/Repair - How to Clean

This projector was sent in by a local school district because of a severely dim image. The lens cap had some damage from being left in place while the lamp was on causing some bubbles in the plastic but had nothing to do with the issue(fortunately).
The lamp itself was the culprit. A seemingly old (2017 by the date code) or counterfeit Osram bulb was not mounted in the housing properly. Then I noticed the lamp's lens was one of those junk coatings. Obviously not an original lamp as I first thought(before I looked at it).
After replacing the lamp, I took the top off and gave it a dusting and once over. After running it a few hours, it was ready to go back.
