The wind howled across the slopes of the Karia Mountains, curling through jagged rocks like a warning. The moon hung low—half-veiled by clouds—its pale light slicing the night open like a silver blade. Below, in a forgotten valley where even birds dared not nest, silence pressed down like a weight. Not the silence of peace, but of something waiting.
And then… they appeared.
Three women, moving like shadows on ancient stone. Barefoot, cloaked in dark silk
robes that danced with the wind, they stepped forward one by one. No leaves rustled underfoot, no branches cracked—nature itself seemed to pause in their presence.They were known only by whispers: The Daughters of Arelith.
Beautiful, yes—but not the kind of beauty sung in love songs. Theirs was the beauty of wild things and weathered temples, of storms on distant seas. Hair like nightfall. Eyes like obsidian. Bodies carved by discipline and fate.
Each one commanded a force older than kings:
One with embers flickering at her fingertips.
One whose breath stirred the trees before the wind came.
One who could make stone pulse like flesh.
They were not priestesses. Not queens. Not someone's wives.
They were watchers of ancient oaths. Protectors of places the world had tried to forget. As they reached the entrance of the Nemmar Cave, the eldest raised her hand—pale fingers outstretched toward the stars—and spoke:
"We are no one’s prayer.
We are no one’s prophecy.
We are the silence after screaming.
And we do not beg for history’s ink—
We carve it in ash." Then they entered the cave.
And by dawn, the invading army that had marched to claim the valley was gone.
Only twisted armor remained—scattered like dead leaves—and in the black soil, burned symbols whispered one final truth:
