Guy I can safely say Marvels Rivals isn’t an overwatch clone, it’s the real overwatch 2

So I’m in the alpha of Marvel Rivals alpha and with 7 hours under my belt now I’m ready to put in another 8 after I’m done with this video because for those that don’t know, Marvel made a 6v6 hero shooter and this might be the best thing marvel has done since end game, I’m not kidding.

Now I know what you’re thinking right off the bat, Brad! Isn’t this just discount overwatch? There’s no way a game like this can is could take blizzard on and actually —- uh wait what did you just do?

Oh yea it’s got destructible enviroments. Is that spiderman..?
yea! spiderman is like genji on crack! He actually has fluid webswinging and feel like they ripped him out of insomniac games, literally (its yuri). He’s pretty tough to learn and dies in 2 hits but man is he fun.
What about tha-? Oh doctor strange? Yea imagine if reinhart could fly and had a portal gun and don’t even get me started on starlord, that dude is crazy.
Man that’s pretty cool— It’s the end screen? Yea everyone gets their own play of the game at the end, it’s build into the games theater mode, also do you wanna join my faction, we’re gearing up for the tournament mode and are probably comp drops tomorrow and uh it’s 6v6…holy shit, this is more a sequel to overwatch than overwatch 2….

Yea, thats that’s what I said.

Please tell me more, no one hates overwatch more than us overwatch players. Of course.

For an alpha build, Marvell Rivals is taking some pretty big swings. Made by NetEase Games who’s portfolio consists of only mobile games, I went into this alpha skeptical but as soon as the game launched, I realized I was in for a treat.

Right off the bat, this game’s quality is crazy. When you see menu’s like this where the characters pop out, have ability demos, difficulty ratings, shown synergies, and oh yea, recommended strategies, it’s clear to me that NetEase knows their game has to be easy to get into and have depth to keep wanting to play.

You see already this game answers a problem overwatch has. Learning curve. As someone who got into overwatch pretty late into the game I remember being completely overwhelmed by this screen. The sheer volume of characters alone was intimidating not to mention what average overwatch gameplay looks like and uh the people you can meet in there.

Hero shooters can be incredibly unfriendly to new player to get into, but already in the alpha, NetEase is showing it’s not only looking to attract experienced players because uh, some of the characters let you abolsutely feel cracked, but also wants to be on ramp for people Overwatch and it’s 10 years character meta’s, rosters, and experience left behind.
