Manidweepa Varnana 283 Moola Slokas from Devi Bhagavatam.
In the Devi Bhagavatam (12th Skanda, chapters 8 through 12, Sri Vyasa Maharshi tells the importance of Manidweepa to King Janamejaya.
This is the original Manidweepa varnana which needs to be chanted. Vyasa Bhagavan directly gave it to us. Since it is very old and is derived from ancient tradition, one will get positive results. Last three Shlokas mention the results.
Even though it mentions 5 chapters, reading - 10, 11 and 12 chapters – in your new house is exceptionally good for the house and bring good luck. Gives peace to all family members. Removes all astrological doshas. There are many more benefits of reading this everyday too. There are “beejaajsharalu” of the supreme Goddess in all the slokas.
How many days should you read this for is not specific. You can read for 41 days, or on important days like – you can read on a Friday. You can read on these five important days – like - Full Moon Day, Krishna Ashtami Day, Krishna Chaturdasi, Ravi Sankramanam, and Amavasya.
We are seeing lots of people chanting 700 slokas of Devi Saptashati daily. As such number or language is not a hurdle.
“Manidweepaniki mahanidhulu…” this song form has become more famous these days. There are also several other traditions that are coming into limelight. They are not ancient, they have not been given directly to us by any Rishis.
