This is a short view of why I couldn't fix my 2011 Chrysler Town And Country Check Fuel Cap by just replacing the gas cap and also replacing the Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump. As you will see I found damage to one of the vapor pipes. I think I know how it happened, but I doubt I can prove who did it. I had driven it for only 214 miles since I had this in the shop for rear axle maintenance work. This probably won't help your issue but look for similar damage just in case.

Incidentally, I just ordered a Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid. Because I thought this or a hole somewhere in the line were the only remaining possibilities. Man was I right.
