Morality and Music As A Magic System?!? - Fantasy Worldbuilding

Why are some creatures/ people good and others bad? Why should these labels exist anyway? Is there a way to explain why this dynamic is used in almost all fantasy novels in some way shape or form? How can we subvert typical representations of morality and make a unique magic system that takes morality into account?

This video outlines how creatures with innate light or dark affinities fit into a moral hierarchy within a fantasy setting and how this then feeds into their unique sources and outputs of magic, as well as their capacity for free-will within a fantasy worldbuilding setting.

As mentioned in the video, this discussion does not feature or explain all of the creatures and races within my worldbuilding project, and there are also more complex and diverse ways which this primary system will be built upon and shifted. If you have any ideas please let me know! I would love to make this process as collaborative as possible.
