Tuesday night 11/04/2017 the OSR V8 Dev Series presented by iKart went back to Mount Panorama for Round 4 of the 2017 Season 2. Piloting the Team DNA Falcon I had high hopes for a good round. Outright speed was not going to win the race, rather consistency and smart driving. Qualifying at about 80%, and to start at the back, being able to drive around the wrecks was my strategy. That game plan went out the window early as I found myself caught up in Lap 1 carnage again, which ruined my race as I was relegated dead last. It was a matter of recovering as many points as possible to make the best of a bad situation. Thought i avoided
a mid track stationary car until a second car collected it and pushed the stranded car back into my path. Extensive damage and the track was blocked. Anyway that's racing. Had difficulty at times also, changing from 3rd back to 2nd gear, which caught me out a few times. Despite all that I was happy to claw my way back through the field. One day I will master "The Mountain", but not today.
