We Got Accepted To the 2024 Sun Valley Film Festival

For the last 14 months, we have been on a journey to create our first full feature length documentary about the Great Pyrenees Mountain Dogs and Livestock Guardian Dogs in Blaine County, Idaho.

Unega Mountain Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that rescues LGDs that have been abandoned and forgotten in the mountains of Idaho. They work tirelessly to save as many dogs as they can from inhumane treatment and give them a second chance at life.

Within the sheep ranching industry, there are many cases of animal abuse and neglect towards these dogs as a result of the way the laws are written. There are plenty of wonderful sheep ranching operations and operators who treat their dogs fantastic. The problem are those who abuse the laws and the dogs without fear of legal ramifications.

Our goal from the very beginning was to make a film worth showing at the Sun Valley Film Festival so we could educate the locals about the situations that surround these dogs. After months of hard work and long nights, we found out that our film will be screened at the 2025 Sun Valley Film Festival! We could not be more proud of the team for all their efforts in bringing this story to life.

The Sun Valley Film Festival will take place from February 28 through March 3, 2024.

Our production crew will be in attendance and will be doing a Q&A after the screening of the film.
