Design sketching - in biro (timelapse)

Product or industrial design sketching in biro is a very useful skill to develop. Here's a quick timelapse showing how to build up tones with cross-hatched layers of biro. Biro sketching is great for quick representation of shape, structure, texture and material. Producing ideas should be quick, and the aim is for the designer to communicate his/her ideas quickly and comprehensively to a client, not to produce a piece of art work.
