স্কন্দ পুরাণের বিষ্ণু খন্ডে উল্লেখ আছে যে বৈশাখ মাস হল অধিক পূণ্য ফলদায়ক, পাপক্ষয়কারি। তবে যারা ভগবৎ ভক্ত যারা অধিক হরিনাম জপ করেন, কিম্বা প্রাত স্নান করে, বৈষ্ণবদের সেবাদান করেন, ব্রাহ্মণদের দান, সেবা, ব্রত পালন করলে তার সকল পাপ বিনাশ হয়। গৃহে ব্রাহ্মণ ডেকে ভোজন করাতে হয়, অন্নদাশঙ্কর, বস্ত্র, পাদুকা দান করলে মহাশূণ্য লাভ হয়।
এই বৈশাখ মাসে তুলসী বৃক্ষে সমস্ত দেবী দেবী, সকল নদ নদী, সকল মহা তীর্থ বিরাজ করে। তুলসী হল ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণের প্রেয়সী। তুলসী পাতা, তুলসী মঞ্জরী দ্বারা যে ব্যক্তি সম্পূর্ণ বৈশাখ মাস ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণের অর্চনা করে তার আর পুন:জন্ম হয় না।
