2004 Chevy Avalanche Gas Pump Problem... Fixed??

Got a P0442 code using my code reader and the Dash Command app on my phone. My truck also has trouble filling up without the pump shutting off at the gas station. Issues related? I replaced the canister solenoid and the code hasn't come back yet, but still have issues filling up at the pump.

I mention a few other issues that could be the cause, but never actually had to fix an issue like this before. Any tips would be greatly appreciated in the comments!
