HBX Stealth 1/10 4WD Brushless RC Car Truck Build & Destroy: New Body, First Run & GPS Speed Test!

Описание к видео HBX Stealth 1/10 4WD Brushless RC Car Truck Build & Destroy: New Body, First Run & GPS Speed Test!

Build & Destroy ... seems to be the name of this game ... Here is the making (and destruction) of a 'new' body for my 'new' upgraded 1/10th Scale HBX (Haiboxing) 4WD Brushless RC Car Truck! Not sure these old HBX bodies can handle my bad driving ...

This video is a kinda 'Part 3' of some recent videos with my HBX 1/10 RC Cars:
Part 1 (Speed Tests):    • HBX (Haiboxing) 1/10th Scale RC Cars ...
Part 2 (Plastic Conversion):    • HBX Stealth 1/10 4WD Brushless RC Car...

Check out this playlist for many more HBX RC Cars, including the more popular and more affordable 1/18, 1/16 and 1/12 models:    • HBX Stealth 1/10 4WD Brushless RC Car...

Not sure there is anything more to say ... other than I wasted some paint, some old stickers and a lot of time this time around. But well, it was slippery and hard to film and drive at the same time. But still surprised that the whole body cracked with the first little flip. But again, this was a used second hand body, probably 5-10 years old, that I had lying around and really not the best quality (quite thin polycarbonate). No harm done. Just glad it wasn't one of my Tamiya bodies.

The car itself performed good, although the shocks definitely need some new and harder oil. Pretty much the same top speed as with the metal chassis & towers, but achieved with a lower rate KV motor and lower gear ratio (due to smaller tires). More importantly it definitely has better acceleration and feels a lot more 'alive' and 'kicking' now. Mission accomplished. Now I need to find a new body for it ...

The platform you see in the video is an almost 10-year-old platform from HBX. It supports a wide variety of 1/10th Scale 4WD Ready-to-Run RC Car models released from HBX back in the days. Among these are Buggy versions (like the HBX 6588), Truggy and Monster Truck versions (like the HBX 6509 and HBX 6598) and a long-wheel-base metal-chassis truggy version (like the HBX 6538X09).

Many where released in both brushed and brushless versions and a full range of spare parts and upgrades (metal gears, aluminium parts etc.) where available. Some can still be found in Scandinavian Hobby stores or on eBay, Aliexpress etc. Several re-branded versions also exist. All use the same gear box, differentials etc. and either the plastic chassis or the metal chassis. A wide range of different suspension set-ups, shocks, shock towers, body mounts and bodies exist

Why I still bring out this platform from time to time is connected to the fact that the HBX Rocket Buggy (with the same platform/chassis) was my very first hobby-grade RC Car when I returned to the hobby as an adult in 2013 - and before discovering other brands such as Tamiya. What I also like is the simplicity of the platform and that it got so many different set-up and upgrade options.
