Audi SQ7 2025 review: Another facelift for V8-powered, 7-seat SUV rival to BMW X5 M60i

Описание к видео Audi SQ7 2025 review: Another facelift for V8-powered, 7-seat SUV rival to BMW X5 M60i

The second-generation Audi Q7 large SUV has been around since January 2015, meaning its 10th birthday is just five months away. A model lifecycle that long is highly unusual for a German brand, which typically moves from one generation to the next every five or seven years. Point being, the four-ring marque's seven-seater is well-established.

Surprisingly, Audi is still holding off on releasing a third-generation Q7, but we have been treated to a second facelift for the current model, with it ushering in a redesigned front fascia, including highly touted HD Matrix LED headlights. Similar updates have been extended to the mechanically related first-generation Q8, which offers five seats and coupe styling instead.

In this expert review, CarsGuide Deputy News Editor John Law gets behind the wheel of the 2025 Audi SQ7 and SQ8 performance flagships at their Australian media launch. The BMW X5 and X6 M60i rivals are powered by an unchanged 373kW/770Nm 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 engine, which enables a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.1 seconds in the former – not bad for a three-row family car.
